The ROV project
Woodlands Generators supplied a generator rental service to the Sub Sea Remote Operating Vehicle (ROV), which consisted of 2 x 500kVA Rental Diesel Generators, providing prime power to a project requiring complex and precise offshore specifications on board a cable laying ship. These 130m cable laying vessels provide an invaluable service, installing subsea cables and providing maintenance work across the globe. As one might expect, the demands for such a vessel were sizeable and a guarantee of quality was required, and duly met.

The generator rental service provided for the Sub Sea Remote Operating Vehicle was made up of two devices, the first being a 500kVA offshore generator which was installed on a prime power basis, and the other (also a 500kVA offshore generator), used as a standby generator to complete the overall power package and ensure peace of mind and reliability to the ROV.
This particular generator rental service saw Woodlands Generators delivering and installing the devices in Denmark, along with all necessary and associated control equipment and the required cabling.
